One More Pilot Season Down

This last pilot season was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. Working with the great team at CoSA VFX, we were able to really push the whole studio to create a pilot (Minority Report) that we were really proud of within the span of a month.

The project was very creative and all of the artists were encouraged to work on r&d, concepts, and ideas to push the final product to be as visually exciting as possible. I pushed myself to take my work and skills to the next level and I am very proud of the whole studio. Great job guys!

New Demo Reel Coming Soon

Moving Right Along

My most recent project at Luma has just recently ended. It was really amazing experience and I learned so much in the year that I was there. I worked with some really talented artists and the staff was amazing.

While I was there I was lucky enough to work on such projects as Iron Man 3, Oz: The Great and Powerful, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and The Dictator. Each project was different and challenging in new ways, for instance Oz was all shot in stereo so I had to learn how to use Ocula to correct color and alignment issues.

I feel like my time with Luma was a huge step forward in my career and I now have a whole new set skills and experiences that will make me an even stronger artist for my next job.

On The Right Path

So lots of things have changed since I last undated. I’ve been working in a new studio for the last couple of months and I have been learning so much. My bag of skills is definitely increasing and I feel more fulfilled than ever.

It feels like I’m finally on the right path towards my goal. My goal of becoming a compositor. I’ve been working as a paint and roto artist for the last few months, but I have honestly enjoyed my work and have learned a lot.

My run at this studio has been longer than anticipated, but it looks now that it might be time for me to continue on this path to a new home/studio with a whole new group of people to meet and things to learn. I feel confidant tho that with these new skills I am now even more capable of being a productive team member of any studio and am ready to prove it.

Wish me luck!

Going away!

I’m headed to Japan and Palau in a week and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m very passionate about travel and get a huge rush when I expand my view of the world. In Palau we will be spending a majority of the time SCUBA diving, which is a huge hobby of mine. It feels like flying. I’m really anticipating seeing sharks, manta rays, jelly fish, and hopefully some turtles.

On the professional side of things, having wrapped up my last job I am now looking for a new and exciting project to jump into!
